July and August update. This can be summarized by the following:

- Making my support for same-sex marriage known to my member of Parliament, Minister of Justice Martin Cauchon, Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, and Prime Minister-to-be Paul Martin. (My MP's assistant was nice enough to respond with a form e-mail. No response from the others, though; color me shocked.)

- Watching -- that is to say, drooling over -- CTV News' new reporter, Sarah Galashan. (UBC's Journalism Review, The Thunderbird, has a spectacular photo of her. Suffice it to say, she's on the watch list.)

- Listening to Coast to Coast AM with George Noory on 580 CFRA -- my new late-night obsession. (No, I'm not a believer. And no, the blackout was not caused by the testing of a Tesla coil at a secret American base in Kanata.)

- Forsaking my blogroll. (Except for FARK.com -- that which can never be forsaken.)

- Confirming once and for all that 101.1 XFM's poor reception is due to its antenna's Smith Falls location. (No shock there. What is surprising, though, is that the station's application to move it closer to Ottawa has been thus far denied by the powers that be. I'll be sure to let the CRTC know how impressed I am with that decision.)

- Overdosing on old Star Trek: Voyager episodes in lieu of suffering through repeats of current prime-time shows. (Like me, they're on hiatus. The bastards.)

- Going to bed listening to the latest from Queens of the Stone Age, Audioslave, and Matthew Good. "This is a commercial for my army and my navy."

Yup, still alive. I updated some of my template's broken links. You go away for a little while and everyone moves. Sheesh.
